Why it matters on a plant-based diet

B6 (pyridoxal-5-phosphate) is a cofactor for clearing homocysteine and for ALA→EPA/DHA conversion. Vegan diets are usually B6-rich, but it is worth checking when homocysteine is high.

A single marker decides nothing

Deficiencies mask one another: high folate hides low B12, inflammation inflates ferritin, low zinc mimics iron deficiency. VEGALYSIS reads the whole picture and explains the links.
