Lipids (cholesterol)
Lipoprotein(a), Lp(a) — optimal range for vegans & vegetarians
An LDL-like particle with inherited vascular risk.
Optimal range
≤ 75 nmol/L
How a value is read
| Optimal | ≤ 75 nmol/L |
| Above optimal | 75 – 125 nmol/L |
| Markedly high | > 125 nmol/L |
Bands are given in the marker's canonical unit; values in other units are converted automatically.
Why it matters on a plant-based diet
A largely genetic risk factor, barely changed by diet — worth measuring at least once. Can be high even in vegans; if elevated, tighten control of other risk factors.
A single marker decides nothing
Deficiencies mask one another: high folate hides low B12, inflammation inflates ferritin, low zinc mimics iron deficiency. VEGALYSIS reads the whole picture and explains the links.

- nmol/L
- mg/dL× 2.15 → nmol/L
VEGALYSIS accepts any of these units and converts the value to the canonical one.
